The increase in net profits was driven by strong performance in all store locations across the country in H1 2014.
Operating income increased 31% year-on-year to K21 million in FY 2014.
Bata experienced revenue growth of 23% year-on-year to K123 million in FY 2014:
Growth in the revenue lines was driven by an optimal product mix and increased customer volumes after store remodeling. This was despite a slowdown in H2 2014 coupled with uncertainty in the mining sector.
Bata’s stock price closed the year at K2.00, up 163% in 2014.
